WHY IS THE PROJECT IMPORTANT
New jobs are coming to Eldon. The purpose of this project is to plan and prepare for Eldon to attract families and workers to the area to work these new positions.
OVERALL PROJECT GOAL
- Find workers to fill the estimated 400 new jobs in Eldon.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS TO- DATE
- Quaker Windows raised their salaries to be competitive in Eldon’s workforce. The manufacturing plant is working with leaders in Eldon and The Eldon Career Center to develop a training and skills program to prepare high school students to join their workforce.
- Superintendent Matt Davis and the GRO Team are working across the school district to make sure their high school seniors can easily connect with these jobs.
- Quaker Windows and Adiant Advantage are going to need over 400 workers to work in their facilities.
